KRAFTON's Flyway Games made a whimsical adventure about a journey into the afterlife.
KRAFTON's Flyway Games studio created an action-adventure platformer where you play as a lovely ghost, Waltz, accompanied by its dog, Jam. Waltz and Jam is a game that takes you on a journey into the afterlife, where you have to find your way through the mysterious world of Downtown to get your ticket to heaven – Uptown.
The environments of Downtown are inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins. There are 7 distinct handcrafted realms, and in each of them, you get to experience something new. You solve puzzles and defeat scary creatures on your way through spooky castles, sandy deserts, and other mesmerizing locations.
Your canine companion is not just an adorable little emotional support animal – Jam can transform to help you move through Downtown. You can turn him into a trampoline to jump or into a rope to climb walls, and more.
On your way through the darkest corners of Downtown, you'll find numerous toys that can help you out. "Put them to clever use to trigger strange contraptions, open hidden passages, and send pesky foes flying," developers hint. Most importantly, toys can help you defeat the furious bosses of the 7 realms. They embody the sins that their realms represent.
Once you solve all the tricky puzzles in the realms of Downtown and defeat all the scary enemies and world bosses, you will earn your ticket to Uptown. There, you'll finally uncover the true secret of the whole journey.
The game is coming soon, though the exact release date remains unclear. You can wishlist the PC version on Steam. Console support is likely coming in the future, according to Flyway Games' press release.
