PC $25 bundle nets you 8 games including underrated sci-fi trilogy everyone needs to play

PC gamers have a superb deal ahead of them with the latest Humble Bundle. It includes eight games for an absolute steal, and an entire trilogy worth $25 alone.

Everyone should be familiar with Humble Bundles by now. They’re a great way to bolster your game library without breaking the bank, and the selection of games is almost always of value.

This month’s Sci-Fi Exposure bundle is no different. I’d pay the $25 asking price for three of these games alone, making the full eight more than a bargain.

The entire Crysis trilogy is included, all of which have been remastered over the years and are must-plays (if your PC can run them).

Next you’ve got both Ghostrunner games. These action-packed parkour platformers are quite challenging, but so, so rewarding when you finally master them.

Xenonauts 2 is a bit of a grey area for me, as it’s the only game on this list I’ve not actually played yet. However, after taking a look at its Steam page, I’m keen to give this “asymmetric warfare” game a go. You essentially command your own military and fend off an alien invasion.

Robocop: Rogue City is also included and I’d highly recommend you play it, even if you’ve never seen the original films. It’s a first-person shooter that does indeed make you feel like Robocop. This one flew under a lot of people’s radars so I’m glad to see it included in the bundle.

Last, and probably least…Marathon. This PlayStation-published first-person shooter failed to impress gamers, and did quite a lot of harm to Bungie’s already declining reputation. More on that later…

All of the above games are also either verified or playable on Steam Deck if you’d rather play them on the go. Results may vary however.

Gamers are mixed on whether Marathon diminishes the value of this Humble Bundle

Marathon has sort of become the Marmite of gaming. Some people loved it, most hated it. The game’s still kicking for the time being though. It hasn’t reached the Concord phase yet.

When gamers saw it was part of the new Humble Bundle, many quickly flocked to mock it, like one X user who replied to Wario64’s post saying: “That's actually a really good bundle. Nice of them to add Marathon to drag the value down.”

Another, slightly more scathing, critique added: “Marathon glazers thinking their soon to be shutdown failure matters paired together with the Crysis trilogy and the Ghostrunner games, hell even Robocop is more relevant.”

Others defended the game though. Some even argued that Marathon alone is worth $25. Every other game included is just a bonus.

Whether you agree or not, there’s no denying that PC players are getting some serious value here, so be sure to add this to your library if you’re without the majority of these games.
