Facial Animation Test With Very Emotional Old Lady

If you're a Character Artist, Hasene, the elderly woman from the Turkish feature film Bad Cat (2016), is a great reference for studying facial topology and emotional expression. The way her face moves feels very natural, which is especially impressive with all the soft tissue and age-related sag.

The rig was created by Ozgur Aydogdu, who is currently a Senior Character TD at Pixar. Nur Diker Köksal has also shared a closer look at the topology:

"Facial topology is a big part of my character modeling process, and I'll be sharing more topology studies soon, including a few interesting ones to break down and analyze", commented the artist.
