PlayStation Plus players have until Monday to claim F1 25 and two more games

PlayStation Plus subscribers don’t have long to add three free games to their library; time is running out.
We’re quickly approaching the end of October, and an exciting month awaits in November. We all know why, right? Grand Theft Auto VI is finally launching after years of waiting.
That’s not all, though. It’s easy to forget that we’re due another month of PlayStation Plus drops, and while gamers aren’t expecting much from such a stacked month, they’re free games nonetheless.
Before November rolls around, however, you’ve still got three freebies to claim if you haven’t already. It’s not the best month PlayStation Plus subscribers have had, but it’s far from the worst.
F1 25 is just one of three free games you need to claim
Despite not being big racing game fans, we’d still recommend F1 25. It’s not a casual racing experience by any means, but it’s good fun.
It’s even better if you have some accessories to enhance the experience. Controllers are fine, but those with racing wheels and other peripherals are going to have the best time with this one.
Next is Hunt: Showdown 1896. Extraction shooters are the next big thing now that the battle-royale hype has died down, and Hunt: Showdown 1896 is a solid choice if you don’t have access to the likes of ARC Raiders.
You can either play this one alone or with friends, as you fight a mixture of monsters and other hunters seeking the bounty on your head. It’s very Bloodborne-coded, and arguably just as challenging.
Last, but certainly not least, is Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. Weirdly, this is probably the one game of the three that I’d recommend the most.
It’s a very fun spin-off of the Earth Defense Force series that sees you build your own team of elite soldiers, but what I’m most fond of is the blocky art style.
The Minecraft-like aesthetic works surprisingly well for a game about warding off extraterrestrials, making it a solid casual experience with plenty of customisation options.
For me, it’s a tie between Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 and F1 25 for the best game to play via PlayStation Plus this month.
Once again though, PlayStation Plus is getting ready to switch up its offering. F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 will no longer be offered after November 2.
They’ll still be playable through your subscription if you claim them before that date.
At the time of writing, we don’t know which games will take their place when November rolls around, but don’t expect any massive AAAs. PlayStation knows the majority of gamers will be playing GTA VI anyway, so there’d be no point splashing out on anything too impressive.
