Encounters: Giacometti guidebook
Encounters: Giacometti is a series of three exhibitions at London’s Barbican in collaboration with the Fondation Giacometti, which positions historic sculptures by Alberto Giacometti with new works by contemporary artists. The year-long series launched in May 2025 with works by Huma Bhabha, followed by Mona Hatoum in September 2025, and is now in its final month with Lynda Benglis, running until 31 May 2026. The series is held in a new gallery space, formerly a restaurant, on the Barbican Centre’s second floor.
The exhibition is curated by Shanay Jhaveri, Émilie Bouvard and Amber Li; organised by Rita Duarte; and designed by Dmitri Martin Associates.
The guidebook was designed by Daly & Lyon and printed by Cassochrome on Starline Greyback and Fedrigoni Sirio Celeste. It’s set in Girott Regular by Radim Peško and HAL Repost by HAL Typefaces.
