Joanna Blémont didn’t get to a 2,000 frame animation without doing a few “bad drawings” first

The V&A Illustration Awards-nominated illustrator Joanna Blémont understands the gentle balance between illustrating for big clients whilst simultaneously defining your own style – this is why she joined the Nicer Tuesdays stage in September to talk about the importance of doing “bad drawings”, moving into a tiny studio during lockdown to develop her practice and the 2,000 frame film she created in collaboration with a team of animators for Loewe.
